Vera Scott

Vera Lee Scott, 69, of Streator passed away at 7:27 AM Friday (May 3, 2019) at her residence.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a reception will be held at 12:30 PM Wednesday at the Streator Elks Lodge.

The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on July 5, 1949 in Belem, Mississippi to Percy & Nina Mae (McMiller) Scott.

She is survived by her children:  Art Scott of Streator, Paula (Jeff Wargo) Scott of Mahomet and Keith (Angie Smith) Scott of Streator; numerous grandchildren including: Lakeya Steinhauer, Kianna, Taylor, Lynzee and Payton Scott; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Roy (Dawn) Scott of Streator, Edmun (Jana Novotney) Scott of Streator, James “Woody” Scott of Toluca, Raymond Scott of Streator and Percy Scott of Portland, Oregon and sisters:  Rosemary Scott of Streator, Nina Scott of Oregon, Mary Tyler of Streator and Inez Scott of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children:  Bruce Lee Scott, Teresa Scott, Nancy Ann Scott and Rebecca Sue Scott and a brother Brian Allen Scott.

Vera loved to play Bingo, cards especially Euchre, reading the newspaper and loved to walk.
