Trinidad Baca

Trinidad Baca, 67, of Streator passed away at 11:20 AM Wednesday (December 7, 2016) at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Tuesday at the Hagi Funeral Home and also from 10:30 – 11:15 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Rev. Jacob Rose will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Javier Solis, Mario Macias Jr., Juan Ramon, Julian Garcia, Jose Ramirez, Miguel Solis and Ryan Ramon.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the Mass.

He was born on October 4, 1949 in Neuvo Lardo Mexico to Trindad and Ramona (Negrete) Baca.  He married the former Clementina Blanco on June 14, 1975 in Mexico.  She survives.

He is also survived by his children:  Claudia (Sean) Chalkey of Streator; Javier Baca of Streator and Angelica Baca-Contreres of Pontiac; grandchildren:  Olivia Contreras, Isiah Contreras, Nevaeh Contreras, Bruxton Chalkey, Jena Baca and Juliet Baca; sisters:  Maria Elena Baca of Iowa and Anna Berumen of Laredo, TX; and brothers:  Teo Baca of Laredo, TX and Fausto (Olga) Baca of Corpus Christi, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister and 2 brothers.

He had worked for Anchor Glass, Streator Dependable and last worked at Oakstate Products in Wenona.

He loved his garden and to plant vegetables and hot peppers.  He always decorated his yard with flowers.
