Thomas Handzo

Thomas R. “Tombo” Handzo, 59 of North Port, FL formerly of Streator, passed away Thursday evening at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, FL.
A graveside service will be 11:30 AM Friday, February 26, 2016 at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.  Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Handzus, Ron Handzus, Mike Handzus, Ray Miller, Daniel Bandura, and Julio Orozco.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:15 AM Friday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Tom was born March 11, 1956 in Streator, the son of George R. and Roma L. Hawkins Handzo.
He is survived by a sister, Sue Stutzman of North Port, FL; two brothers, Gene Handzo of Streator and Donald (Yvonne) Handzo of Bloomington; several cousins; 14 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George R. Handzo Jr.; and many aunts and uncles.
Tommy touched everyone’s life that he met.
