Suzanne "Kush" Rowe

Suzanne “Kush” Rowe, 78, of Streator, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2023, at The Pavilion of Ottawa, surrounded by her loved ones.

 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00AM in Hillcrest Cemetery, with Rev. Rodney Kreier officiating.  Cremation rites will be accorded. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Kush was born October 20, 1944, in Streator, a daughter of Andrew and Jean (Gochanour) Kolojay.  She married Richard V. Rowe on October 28, 1961.  He survives.

 

She is survived by her son, Scott Rowe; daughter, Connie (Gerald) Fluech; grandchildren, Amanda L. (Jordan) Craft, Amber N. (Ivan) Reyes, Justin A. Fluech, and Adam J. Fluech; great grandchildren, Jaycee and Rebecca; a great granddaughter, Adiline Iris; siblings, Robert (Marsha) Kolojay, Donald (Patty) Kolojay, and John (Donna) Kolojay; and three half-sisters, Gail, Kelly and Vickie.

 

 Kush is preceded in death by her father Andrew Kolojay; her mother, Jean Persong; a daughter-in-law, Kirsten Rowe; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Ryan Fluech; a brother, Tom Kolojay; and a sister, Dorothy Duvall.

 

Suzanne “Kush” worked a few years, but once she had her children, she became a homemaker caring for her children.  She had a love for BINGO and built many friendships through her years of playing.  Kush would never pass up a trip to the casino and shared many laughs and good times through her years of play.  Growing up with brothers She didn’t let much get in her way of living her life.  She shared many laughs and good times with those close to her.
