Susan Rabbitt

STREATOR-  Susan Rabbitt 65 of Streator died Thursday evening (Feb. 5, 2015) at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday at Hagi Funeral Home with Father Jacob Rose, officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lostland Cemetery, rural Streator.
Mrs. Rabbitt was born June 9, 1949 in Woodstock, the daughter of William and Lucille (Taylor) Boyle. She married Joseph “Joe” Rabbitt, Aug. 6, 1977 in Crystal Lake. He survives.
Susan had been employed at the Sewing Studio, Normal, for the past twenty five years as a clerk and sewing and quilting instructor, she also served as staff beautician at Hagi Funeral Home since 2002. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and the American Quilters Society. She attended Dallas Texas grade and high schools and received her beauty license in 1973 in Texas and in 1975 in Illinois, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Western Illinois University in 1999. Susie was an avid quilter and seamstress, having made many quilts and most of her own clothing over the years.
She is survived by her husband Joe, mother, Lucy Andrews, Dallas TX, two sisters, Cathy Webster, Austin TX and Annette Boyle, Dallas, TX also surviving is her black lab Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her father and black labs, Toby and Molly.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
