Shawn R. Howell

Shawn R. Howell, 53 of Manville passed away February 12, 2022 at his residence following a long battle of multi organ failure.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator, with Pastor John Gutz officiating.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Burial will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Shawn had received blood and was on a donor registry, the family would like to make memorial contributions to Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network or the American Red Cross Blood Services.

Shawn was born March 1, 1968 in Streator, a son of Charles R. and Marilyn J. (Harrington) Howell.

He is survived by his longtime partner & best friend, Beth Crank of Manville; his mother, Marilyn Howell of Streator; two sisters, Sally (Kevin) Pflibsen of Streator and Sheri (Mike) Wilkinson of Ottawa; two brothers, Sam Howell of Flanagan and Steve Howell of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.  Also surviving is his beloved dog, “Mom”.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Tuddy” Howell.

Shawn worked for Veolia Water at the Streator Waste Water Treatment Plant for over 20 years.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Shawn was a sweet person that loved animals.
