Ruth Hoag

STREATOR-  Ruth M. Hoag, 83 of Streator died Thursday afternoon (Oct. 4, 2012) at Heritage Health, Normal.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator with Rev. John Gutz, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Monday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. Hoag was born March 4, 1929 in Streator the daughter of Philip and Rena (Imm) Corrigan. She married Gene Hoag, Oct. 1, 1950 in Streator. He preceded her in death Oct. 30, 2010.
Ruth had been employed at Streator National Bank, Streator Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Public Service Co. and Owens-Illinois Glass Co. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Mary Martha Society of her church. She attended Cornell grade school and was a graduate of Cornell High School, class of 1947.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane Hubbard, Streator and Debra (Lynn) Wilson, Normal, one son, David Hoag, Streator, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister, Geneva Vahldieck, St. Louis MO and one sister-in-law, Wilma Corrigan, Dwight.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Betty Erschen and two brothers, Philip and Vincent Corrigan.
Pallbearers will be Chris Thompson, Travis and Lynn Wilson, Kevin Tompkins, Kyle Fecht and Jordan Jefferson.
