Ruth Finefield

Ruth L. Finefield, 91 of Streator passed away March 25, 2016 at Heritage Manor, Streator, Illinois.
Ruth was born March 19, 1925 in Forrest, Illinois, the daughter of Harlan and Elvira Goodrich Metz.  She married Harold E. Finefield on July 10, 1943 also in Forrest.  They resided in Chenoa, Ransom and Streator.  He preceded her in death on December 30, 1993.
Surviving are four children; Tim (late Jean Petrus) Finefield of Peoria, Ted (Suzanne Seibel) Finefield of Streator, Kathy Finefield of Apex, N.C. and Hal (Nancy Houston) Finefield of Chesterfield, Mo.  She has eight grandchildren; Gavin Finefield, Paige (Gary) Hulsey, Amy Rust, Kevin(Katie) Rust, Andrew(Lauren) Finefield, Taylor(Drew) Benes, Jennifer (Dustin Folger) Finefield, Erin Finefield; and seven great-grandchildren Austin, Olivia, Allen, Mya, Andrew Charles III, Grace Elizabeth and Ella Katherine.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Edythe Metz.
Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Streator.  Visitation will be on Friday, April 1 from 10-11:00 AM with services at the church following immediately.  Rev. Jerry Haley will preside at the funeral and her grandson, Rev. Gavin Finefield will officiate graveside services in Forrest, Illinois.
