STREATOR- Rosemary Olson Reynolds 87 of Streator died Wednesday morning (Aug. 8, 2012) at Heritage Health, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator with Monsignor Philip Halfacre, officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 PM Sunday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with the rosary recited at 3:00 PM Sunday. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. Reynolds was born Oct. 18, 1924 in Heenanville the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Mallick) Senko. She married Leo Olson, May 1, 1943 at St. Stephen’s Church. He preceded her in death May 18, 1962. She later married E. Stanley Reynolds, July 23, 1966 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death Dec. 31, 2003.
Rosie had been a housekeeper for Dr. James Scott for twenty six years as well as a housekeeper for several other families in Streator. From 1982-1990 she and her husband Stan, owned and operated the Fireside Restaurant in Streator. She was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and currently a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church. She attended Heenanville Grade School in rural Streator.
She is survived by four daughters, Carol Olson, Pflugerville TX, Marge (Chuck) Hayward, Streator, Teena (Randy) Dimmig, Manville and Linda (Bob) Wilson, Streator, five sons, Ronald (Betty) Olson, Dan Olson and Fred (Barb) Olson all of Streator, Joe Olson, Grand Junction CO, and Gary (Chris Nawara) Reynolds, Streator, one stepson, Earl (Cindy) Reynolds, Marshall, seventeen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one sister, Lillian McMenamin, Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one granddaughter, five sisters, Anna Novotney, Mary and Margaret Senko, Helen Roth and Emma Harcharik, eight brothers, John, Joe, Mike, Mickey, Andrew, Stephen, Louis and Albert Senko and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Olson.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Jeremy, Josh and Tim Olson, Mike Schmitt, Eric Hayward and Matthew Wilson.
