Rosa Maria Carrillo 78 of Victorville California , formerly of Streator died Tuesday evening (Mar. 29, 2011) at Desert Knolls Nursing Home Nursing Home, Victorville CA .
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30AM Tuesday at St. Michael the Archangel Church , Streator. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 PM Monday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, with a prayer service at 3:00 PM and the rosary recited at 6:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. Carrillo was born Nov. 23, 1932 in Chupaderos Dgo , Mexico , the daughter of Francisco Almaraz and Maria De Los Angeles Diaz. She married Fortunato Carrillo Sr., Mar. 18, 1950 in Mexico . He survives.
Rosa had been employed at Motorola, Pontiac, Owens-Illinois Glass and Thatcher Glass both of Streator and Cargill Seeds, Grand Ridge. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church prior to moving to California . She attended school in Mexico .
Rosa was a nice, sweet, lovable, hard working person who will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Fortunato Carrillo Sr. of Victorville CA, six daughters, Martha (Jorge) Benitez, Lincoln, Felipa (Roberto) Sanchez, Streator, M. Christina (J. Guadalupe) Lopez, Streator, Maria (Candelario) Araiza, Antelope CA, Genoveva Green, Streator and Isela (Alberto) Ramos, Streator, five sons, Irineo (Grasiela) Carrillo, Durango Dgo, Mexico, Arturo (Mary) Carrillo, Lincoln, Martin (Marsha) Carrillo, Streator, Juan (M. Guadalupe) Carrillo, Chicago and Fortunato Carrillo Jr., Antelope CA, many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters, four sons, two grandchildren, one sister and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be four of her sons and two grandsons.
