A Marine Veteran Robert A. Corbin, 58, passed away Sunday at Parker Rehabilitation Center in Streator surrounded by family, friends and staff from Parker.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the Hagi Funeral Home. Full Military rites will be accorded following the visitation and a Memorial service will be held following military rites at the funeral home. Rev. Rodney Kreier will officiate.
He was born May 9, 1958 in Streator to Dennis Faye & Beverly (Allen) Corbin Sr.
He is survived by a daughter Kristie Marie Corbin of Streator; a son Kristopher Robert Ohligschlager of Streator; a grandson, Mason Storm Corbin; sisters, Marilyn (Joe) Bottino of Gilbert, AZ, Nora Marie “Sissy” (Dan) Kleckner of Troy Grove, IL; a brother, Dennis “Little Denny” (Paula) Corbin Jr. of Ottawa; a brother in law: Georgio Ohligschlager of Strator and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Ohligschlager of Streator.
He was preceded in death he parents and his girlfriend of 26 years, Linda Kay Ohligschlager.
He graduated from Streator Township High School and then served in the United States Marine Corp from 1982-1988.
He was a forklift operator at Rocky Top Wood Treatment plant.
He was a lifetime member of the AMVETS.
