Peggy L. Etenburn

Peggy L. Etenburn, 71 of Streator passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

Her funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 31, 2021 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator, with Pastor John Gutz officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mick Stevens, Danny Sass, Tim Emm, Ryan Emm, Jarrettt Spencer and Tyler Wright. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator and for one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to the family.

Peggy was born February 4, 1950 in Streator, a daughter of Walter and Marion (Plesko) Gotch. She married Gary A. Etenburn on April 12, 1975 in Streator. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2012.

She is survived by a son, Billy Etenburn of Streator; two sisters, Sandra Gotch of Queen Creek, AZ and Jerilyn (David) Grant of Chandler, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; and a son in infancy, Paul Michael Etenburn.

Peggy was a graduate of Woodland High School. She worked at the Times Newspaper and retired after 35 years.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator. Peggy enjoyed coloring and spoiling Billy’s God Son, Bowen and in her early years, playing softball and bowling.
