STREATOR-  Paul W. Swartz 55 of rural Streator died Saturday morning (June 14, 2014) at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Streator.
Mr. Swartz was born Dec. 13, 1958 in Buckley, the son of William and Rachel (Powers) Swartz.
Paul had been employed as a welder and carpenter. He was a member of Central Church of Christ, Streator. He enjoyed gardening and crafts. He attended Onarga schools and received his GED for Streator High School.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Swartz, rural Streator and Tabitha (Kevin) Defenbaugh, Streator, three grandchildren, Devon Walker, Marrissa Hays and Easton Defenbaugh, three sisters, Barbara Peters, Streator, Kathy (Erasmo) Espinoza, Thawville and Carolyn Garcia, Onarga and one brother Jerry Swartz, Streator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Judy Miller and Betty Patlan, six brothers, Henry, Ernie, Jim, Don, Jeff and Joseph Swartz.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Memorials may be made to the family.
