STREATOR- Paul Haycraft 97 of Westchester, formerly of Streator died Sunday morning (Mar. 11, 2012) at Lexington Healthcare, LaGrange.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hillside with Rev. Ted Vratny, officiating, Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-Noon Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hillside. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Hagi Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Haycraft was born June 30, 1914 in Hardin County Kentucky, the son of David and Mary (Lahman) Haycraft. He married Anna Yurko Nov. 7, 1931 in Long Point. She preceded him in death Jan. 5, 1995.
Paul had managed and operated Barrett Oil Co., (later Salisbury Oil Co.) over forty years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hillside and a former member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator where he served on the Board of Elders and the Mission Board of the church.
He is survived by one daughter, Betty Jean (Late Eugene) Swierzynski, Westchester IL, one grandson, David (Susan) Swierzynski, one great grandson Eric and one sister, Ada Kaiser, Wolcott IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, Carlie Haycraft and son-in-law, Eugene Swierzynski.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hillside or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator.
