Patsy A. Voorhees, 80, of Streator passed away at 6:44 PM Thursday (July 6, 2017) at the Ottawa Pavilion.

A visitation will be held from 9-11 AM Wednesday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.

She was born on March 9, 1937 in Streator to Les & Marion (Liston) Morrison.  She married John “Jack” Voorhees on August 29, 1958 at the First United Methodist Church in Streator.  He survives.

She is also survived by daughters:  Tammy (Doug) Barga of Seattle, WA and Gail Stith of Ottawa; 7 grandchildren:  Amanda, Callie and Danielle Stith and Kasey, Drew, Cole and Andy Barga and a sister, Bonnie (Skip) French of Daytona Beach, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marion “Boots” Larson.

She graduated from Streator Township High School.

She was  a member of the First United Methodist Church in Streator, bowled on the Elks Women’s Bowling League and had belonged to the Everready Club.  She was an avid reader and crafter and had a gift for giving encouragement by writing letters and cards to her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to her church or the Streator Elks.
