Patrick Cavan Daly

Patrick Cavan Daly, 62 of Streator passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 13, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM followed by a time for family and friends to share memories and stories at 6:00 PM.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

Patrick was born January 15, 1961 in Winchester, IN, the son of John Pat and Mary Ellen (Chandler) Daly.  He married Karen J. Kimber on August 22, 1992 at the Primitive Methodist Church in Streator.

Surviving are his wife, Karen of Streator; a daughter, Kimber Marie Daly of Winchester, IN; a son, Donald Cavan Daly of Streator; two sisters, Pamela (Samuel) Bane of Arrowsmith and Mary Kathleen Daly of Winchester, IN; his mother-in-law, Shirley Kimber of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.  Also surviving are his beloved dogs, Sam, Sophie and Bella.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Edward W. Kimber; and a brother-in-law, Brian Scott Kimber.

Patrick was a 1979 graduate of Winchester High School.  He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from Ball State University.

Patrick dedicated the majority of his life to the glass industry, including working at Maul Brothers and later at Anchor Glass for over 30 years.  He was currently employed as an engineer at Alloy Specialties Inc in Blackstone.

He was a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge #56.

Patrick had a great love for family and community.  He enjoyed his Hot Rod cars and loved to race.

The family would like to thank the Streator Fire Department, Allen Township Volunteers, and the dispatchers at LivCom for their kindness and help with Patrick.
