Pamela Swartz

Pamela K. Swartz, 68, of Streator passed away at 11:38 AM Tuesday (February 20, 2018) at her residence.

A visitation will be held from Noon until 3:00 PM Saturday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.  Rev. Mary McQuilken of the Ransom United Methodist Church will officiate.

Interment will be in the Allen Township Cemetery in Ransom.

She was born on July 24, 1949 in Streator to John & Camilla (Boatman) Mital.  She married Ernest A. Swartz on April 6, 1968 in Ransom.  He preceded her in death on February 11, 2000.

She is survived by daughters:  Kim (Kevin) Carr of Bloomington, Paula (Jim) Ligori of Streator, Janet (Bill Wissen) Swartz of Streator; 6 grandchildren:  Dreena and Danaria Carr, Dalton and Parker Ligori and Jennifer and Janell Swartz; a sister Alice (Roger) Fellers of Oglesby numerous nieces and nephews and inlaws; her good friend Ray Cox of Streator and her dear pets:  Tedi and Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Thomas Mital on August 27, 2017 and John "Buster" Mital and a sister, Barbara Kling on February 7, 2002.

She graduated from Ransom Grade School and Streator Township High School.

She had been employed by Ace Hardware, K-Mart and in housekeeping at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was a member of the Ransom United Methodist Church.

She loved her grandkids, her memory garden and walking her dog, Tedi.
