Nancy L. Fiedler

Nancy L. Fiedler, 78 of Streator passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Arc at Streator.

Nancy was born January 2, 1945 in Streator, a daughter of Eldon and Ica (Mullins) Nutgrass.  She married John “Jack” Fiedler on September 4, 1965.  They had been married for 52 years.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Gary Fiedler of Minooka, and Joe Fiedler of Ransom; 5 grandchildren, John (Jorie) Fiedler, Johanna Fiedler, Drake Fiedler, Colten Fiedler and Maddison Fiedler; and a great granddaughter on the way, Lily Fiedler.  Also surviving are a sister, B. Yvonne (Mike) Ryan of Merrimac, MA; a sister-in-law, Cheryl (Vic Samek) Nutgrass of Streator; a brother-in-law, Donald (Nancy) Fiedler of Loudon, TN; and her former daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Farmer of Channahon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Gerald and Kenneth Nutgrass.

Nancy enjoyed watching dragon flies around the Koi pond, reading books, watching game shows and flowers.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Ransom.  Cremation rites will be accorded.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arc at Streator.
