N. Carol Sass

N. Carol Sass, 70 of Streator passed away Monday June 2, 2025 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

Carol was born August 19, 1954 in Henderson, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Catherine (Spence) Highland.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur Cronk and David (Laura) Cronk, both of Streator; and a daughter, Christy (Mark) Treest of Streator; four grandchildren, David Cronk Jr. and Collin, Sadie and Rhiannon Treest; and three great grandchildren, Parker Cronk and Xaidan and Piper Treest. Also surviving is a sister, Janice Roy of Streator; and a sister-in-law, Edie Highland of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Highland; and an infant sister, Judy Highland.

Carol was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Streator. She had worked at the Moose Lodge for over 20 years waitressing and bartending.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.
