Michael McMullen

Michael S. McMullen, 65 of Manville passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at Weiss Memorial Hospital, Chicago.

Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday prior to services at the funeral home.  Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, facial coverings are required, and social distancing standards will be followed.  Cremation rites will be accorded after services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for his granddaughter’s education fund.

Michael was born August 23, 1955 in Streator, a son of George S. and Melba (Bunting) McMullen.  He married Susan M. Bartlett on May 2, 1977 in Ottawa.  She survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Wendy McMullen of Fargo, ND; a granddaughter, Alyssa McMullen; a sister, Marva (Mike) Meredith of Ocala, FL; and two brothers, Gary (Carol Jean) McMullen of Walnut and George (Marcia) McMullen of Streator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Darrell McMullen, and a sister, Sharon McMeen.

Michael was a graduate of Woodland High School Class of 1973.  He worked for US Food Service for 42 years retiring October 30, 2020.

Michael enjoyed the outdoors and hunted and fished all his life. He camped and fished for over 40 years with family and friends in Olney at East Fork Lake.
