Michael Besser

Michael J. Besser, 39, of Streator passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his residence.

He was the oldest son of Lee and Jane Besser.  He was born February 8, 1978.

He is survived by his parents, Lee and Jane Besser of Streator; his siblings:  Sarah, James, JoAnna and Victoria Besser and Sherry Kust; aunts and uncles, Stig-Arne and Nancy Holmberg of Streator and Robert and Cindy Petrolli of Chicago Heights; a cousin to Robert Petrolli of Chicago Heights and an uncle to Mariah Strohl of Wisconsin, Vanessa Bell of Streator and Addison Earl of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Besser in 2012; his grandparents, James & Margaret Carbona of Chicago and Robert (Phyllis) Petrolli and Elaine Petrolli of Chicago Heights.

Michael was raised in Chicago and then spent 13 years attending school in Menominee, Stephenson and Kingsford, Michigan.  He moved from Glenview to Streator in 2000.

Michael loved to work and had many jobs.  For the last 20 years on and off he was a laborer with Local 76 and worked in bridge construction-his love.

He loved the outdoors, music and sports.  Michael was slow to anger and quick to forgive.  He would actually give you the shirt off his back.  Michael loved people and people loved him—Enjoy him God, he’s Yours now.
