Matthew Mills

Matthew Stephen Mills, 29, of Streator passed away suddenly at 3:30 AM Monday (December 9, 2019) at his residence.

A visitation will be held from 10 AM until Noon Saturday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday at the funeral home.  Rev. Robert Dickman will officiate.

Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Phil Towner, Frank, Mike & Jordan Parola, Holly Garrett, Autumn Thomas, and Summer and Mason Mills.

He was born on October 1, 1990 in Streator to Stephen A. & Marcia (Mullen) Mills.

He is survived by his children:  Mya Mills and Keefer Herzog both of Taylorsville, IL; his parents, Stephen A. Mills of Gila Bend, AZ and Marcia (Earl) Hale of Streator; a brother, Mason Mills of Streator; a sister, Summer Mills of Streator; his grandmother, Carolyn Pottinger of Streator and a nephew and niece whom he loved dearly:  Brantley and Savannah Mills.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Earl Pottinger, Tom Mills and Irvin & Patricia Mullen and greatgrandparents:  Jack & Faye Murphy and Lawrence & Helena Mullen.

He graduated from Streator Township High School in 2009 and attended the welding program at I.V.C.C.

Matthew loved being a dad, fishing, 4-wheeling and watching movies.
