Mathew P. Hawkins

Mathew P. Hawkins, 75 of Streator passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Arcadia Care in Morris.

 Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded.

 Mathew was born September 17, 1949 in Streator, a son of Charles and Betty Ann (Farner) Hawkins. He married Rose F. Corrie on June 3, 1978 in Streator.

 He is survived by his wife, Rose; two daughters, Gina (Anthony) Sein of Toluca and Jamie Wonders of Streator; a son, Jason J. Corrie of Streator; three grandchildren, Amber Taylor, Zach Wonders, and Jacob Vice; two great grandchildren, Barbara and Joshua Taylor; and a brother, Michael (Linda) Hawkins of Streator. Also surviving is his beloved dog, Myles.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son-in-law, Kevin Wonders.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
