Mary Drapp 96 of Streator died Sunday afternoon (Dec. 4, 2011) at Heritage Health, Dwight.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church , Streator with Rev. John Gutz, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery , Streator.
Mrs. Drapp was born Aug. 1, 1915 in Streator the daughter of John and Mary (Sabolik) Mital. She married Paul Drapp, Oct. 7, 1937 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. John Daniel. He preceded her in death May, 17, 1999.
Mary had been employed at Thatcher Glass Co., Streator for fifteen years, retiring in 1962. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active with the Adult Bible Class, the Sixty Plus Bible Class, Mary Martha Society, choir and was president of the ladies sewing circle for many years.
She attended Streator schools.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna (Charles) Butler, Ramona CA, Geraldine “Geri” Musser, Streator, Rebecca (William) Johnson, Silvis, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandson, one sister, Elsie Frederickson, Arlington Heights and one brother, Richard (Ruth) Mital, Cleveland TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Delores Drapp, one sister, Ann Kaschak and three brothers, John, Edward and George Mital.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Greg Butler, Brad and Byron Musser, Brandon and Nate Scarbeary, great grandson Mason Scarbeary and grandson-in-law, Joe Scarbeary.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
