STREATOR- Marion E. Hetzner 90 of Streator died Thursday morning (Mar. 8, 2012) at Heritage Health, Streator.
Private funeral services will be held. Cremation rites will be held with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Hagi Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hetzner was born Mar. 12, 1921 in Streator the daughter of Harry and Clara (Sauer) Clayton. She married William Hetzner June 19, 1941 in St. Louis MO. He preceded her in death Jan. 7, 1977.
Marion had been employed at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. Streator during WWII and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and had attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School. The Hetzner’s had resided in Kankakee and Blue Island prior to her moving back to Streator in 1978.
She is survived by one daughter, Jane (George) Schreier, Westmont, one grandson, William (Jennifer) Schreier and three great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Ethan and Conner Schreier, all of Naperville, several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Viola Ruddy, Lois Clayton and Clio Branz and brother Raymond Clayton.
