Margaret A. Murray

Margaret A. Murray, 95, of Streator, peacefully passed away Monday, July 6, 2026 at her residence.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 AM Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator. Funeral Services will follow at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Tony Ross will officiate. A private family burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Margaret was born January 2, 1931 in Streator, a daughter of Frank and Bernice (Bennington) Kimpling. She married George Murray on June 21, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1999.

Surviving are her children, Martha Rumoro and David (Lou Ann) Murray, both of Streator, Steven (Dawn) Murray of McGreggor, TX, and Julie (Dave) Carlson of Whittington, IL; 18 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Sam (Sandi) Kimpling of Long Point.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; two sons, Mark and John Murray; a daughter, Paula Schmidt; two brothers; and three sisters.

Margaret was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Streator.

The family would like to thank Robin Turner for the care and compassion she has shown Margaret while she was in her care.
