Marcia L. Henderson

Marcia Lynn Henderson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Marcia was born in Streator, Illinois, on September 6, 1954, to Aldon Turpin and Dorothy "Pat" (Zebell) Miller. She married Michael Maurice Henderson on May 10, 1986.

Marcia grew up in Streator, Illinois, and graduated from Streator High School, Class of 1972. Marcia was a fierce mother, but a gentle soul. A devoted wife, married to Michael for 39 fun filled years, having shared countless road trips and cherished adventures with their beloved dog Max. Marcia had a warm and loving heart, and her greatest joy was her family and friends. She had many lifelong friends, including Jolanka Redd, affectionately known to family as ‘Aunt Jolanka.’ Her former neighbors, Tim and Jamie Amann who she shared many late nights and laughs with. Marcia had a remarkable dedication to those she loved. She never missed a special occasion and always took the time to handwrite cards for everyone. Her spirit was defined by her joyful presence, with a contagious smile and an infectious laugh. A true fighter, Marcia survived cancer and faced many health challenges with courage and grace. She was a loyal Chicago Bears fan, loved collecting beautiful Christmas ornaments, and enjoyed simple pleasures like listening to music and playing bags.

Marcia spent many years working for Thatcher Glass and was always committed to her community, serving as an avid recycler, working behind the scenes to help individuals in need. While working for the Jones Vargas law firm in Las Vegas, she was honored with a Citizen's Award from the city for her extensive volunteer service. Her warm spirit and loving nature will live in our hearts forever.

Marcia will be sadly missed by her surviving husband, Michael Henderson, and her daughters: Tracy (Doug) Stanley, Shannon Biehl, Sarah Rose Tyler, and Tonya Stillwell. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Miller. She and Mike were blessed by seven grandchildren: DJ and Samantha Shillings, Madison Camacho, Alanis and Hannah Missel, and Trey and Myah Stillwell, as well as one great-grandson, Gabriel Antonio Alvez-Capo Jr. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Aldon Turpin and Dorothy ”Pat” Miller; her sister, Diane Elias; her brother, Allen Turpin; her grandparents; and her father- and mother-in-law, Maurice and Mary Henderson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Streator, with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
