STREATOR-  Louise Almeta (Gaff) Hodge 91 a resident of Savanna for 44 years passed away Sunday February 17, 2013 in her home in Apex, North Carolina following a brief illness and surrounded by loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Charlie Hodge, twin sister, Lou Leese, her brother Arthur “Bud” Gaff, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Formerly of Streator IL she moved to Savanna IL in 1967. She was very active in the Palisades Art League, becoming an accomplished artist in oil, acrylic, watercolor and scratchboard. She was also active in the First United Methodist Church serving on various committees. What she loved most in life was caring for her immediate family and grandchildren and eventually great grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Janet Jones, twins Ted Hodge and Karen Pendola and Wendy Reams; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from Noon-1:00 PM Saturday with a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 PM Saturday March 16, 2013 at Hagi Funeral Home, 205 High St. Streator IL., followed by graveside services at Phillips Cemetery, rural Streator.
