Louise A. Frickey

Louise A. Frickey, 86 of Streator passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Arcadia Care of Streator.

Following Louise’s wishes, there will be no funeral services but a private burial of ashes in Riverview Cemetery.  Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Louise was born August 19, 1936 in Streator, the daughter of Albert and Ann (Andrews) Kollar.  She had married Ralph Frickey on May 9, 1959 in Streator.  He died in August of 1995.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane (Keith) Schmink of Springfield and Darlene Frickey of Streator; a son, David (Louwanna) Frickey of Streator; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Claytor, Laura Elliott, Eric and Bryan Van Name, and Joshua and Zachary Frickey; and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carolyn Wolf; and a brother, Albert Kollar.

Louise was born and raised in Streator.  She attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School with the class of 1954.  She lived her whole lifetime in Streator.
