Louis Chismarick

STREATOR-  Louis G. Chismarick 92 of Streator died Wednesday morning (Aug. 29,2012) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Sister Laura Northcraft, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 AM Saturday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial with full military rites conducted by members of American Legion Post # 217 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1492 will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.
Mr. Chismarick was born Aug. 18, 1920 in Streator the son of John and Kathryn (Liska) Chismarick. He married Eleanor Mehalic, June 7, 1947 by Monsignor George Dzurio at St. Stephen’s Church. She preceded him in death Sept. 13, 1994.
Louie had been employed at Streator Furniture, Timco and retired from Plymouth Tube Co. in 1985. He was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and currently a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. He was a veteran of WWII serving in Europe with the 50th Division Artillery. He attended Streator schools.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen (Mark) Reinmann and Lisa Dunning, one son, Mark (Diane) Chismarick and one brother Raymond Chismarick all of Streator, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step father, Arthur Rhode, one sister, Helen Carsel, one brother, John Chismarick and one son-in-law, Robert Dunning.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Jan-Michael Reinmann, Julie Reinmann and Sara Chismarick, nephew Gary Chismarick and neighbors and friends, Harry Dent and Dennis Ritko.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
