Lonnie McStoots

Lonnie L. McStoots, 78, of Streator passed away at 2:32 PM Wednesday (February 8, 2017) at O.S.F. St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.

A visitation will be held from 11 AM – 2 PM Sunday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.  His nephew the Rev. Tommy Pendergest will officiate.

Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Zach, Tommy, Tony, Jack and Joe McStoots, Shawn Pendergest, Harry Arroyo and Scott Minkler.

He was born December 5, 1938 in Caneyville, KY to Lee Nelson & Della Mae (Cook) McStoots.  He married the former Shirley Smith on May 29, 1961 in Streator.  She survives.

He is also survived by a son, Ray (Tina) McStoots of Streator; grandchildren:  Zach (Jessica) McStoots, Cody Delmendo, Tristan Thompson and Vanessa Wilking; 2 great grandsons:  Zayne McStoots and Samuel Wilking; brothers:  Charles (Kathleen) McStoots of Louisville, KY, Ralph Roger (Evelyn) McStoots of Litchfield, KY and Terry (Vickie) McStoots of Nashville, N.C.; and a sister:  Norvell (Doyle) Johnson of Litchfield, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Billie McStoots; brothers:  Caney and Roy McStoots and sisters:  Pauline Pendergest and Lavada Wilson.

He farmed in Reading & Eagle Township.  He formerly belonged to the Streator Eagles Aerie #645.

He like woodworking and loved to gamble at the Riverboat.
