STREATOR- Lola M. Reeder 94 of Streator died Friday morning (Jan. 10, 2014) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Pastor Marlin Ludwig, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM Monday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. Reeder was born Nov. 3, 1919 in Streator the daughter of Fred and Isabelle (Davison) Greener. She married James Woodward July 4, 1937 in Streator. He preceded her in death May 8, 1965, she later married Arthur Reeder who survives.
Lola had been employed at the Lipton Tea Co. for many years and also at Bond Golf Cart Mfg. and Streator High School cafeteria. She was a member of Primitive Methodist Church and the Busy Bee class of her church. She attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.
God’s greatest commandment is to love. Lola loved unconditionally and in return was loved unconditionally by all who knew her. She truly loved her family and many friends. We are blessed to have had her in our lives and look forward to God’s faithful promise that we will be together in eternity with Him.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith (Phillip) Martin, Streator, seven grandchildren, Mark (Beverly) Martin, Streator, Tim (Dana) Martin, Streator, Cari (Ken) Ziegler, Dripping Springs TX, Jim (Kjersten) Woodward, Normal, Hannah Macias, Streator, Rebekah Woodward, Streator and Joshua Woodward serving with the US Marines, 9 great grandchildren and two daughters-in-law, Mary Ann Woodward, Normal and Debra Woodward, Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son William James Woodward, three sisters, Laura Scudder, Neoma Parcher and Virginia Liston.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Jim, Tim and Mark Martin and Joshua Woodward and great grandsons, Brett, Brooks and Brennon Martin and John Woodward.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung association, American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
