Lois E. Hutchcraft, 95 formerly of Streator, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 in Chesterfield, Mo.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator. Pastor Sherri Cisneros will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Parker, Randy Teegardin, Chuck Teegardin, Thomas Teegardin, and Terry Teegargin. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday prior to services at the funeral home.

Lois was born February 22, 1931 in Streator, a daughter of Walter B. and Ella L. (Crew) Teegardin. She married Samuel E. “Gene” Hutchcraft on February 22, 1955 at the First United Methodist Church in Streator. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1957.

She is survived by a daughter, Reva Parker of Centralia; a grandson, Jeremiah Parker, who was the love of her life; a brother, Gene (Delores) Teegardin of Streator; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two very special lifelong friends, Mary Anderson and Barbara Lowe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ella Teegardin; a sister, Phyllis McClenning; and a brother, James Teegardin.

Lois graduated from Streator High School in 1949 and went on to attend business school. Lois worked for Owens, starting in the factory and worked her way up to the front offices. Lois retired as Assistant Manager of the Owens Credit Union.

Lois was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church, Streator, all the way up until the time of moving to southern Illinois to be closer to her daughter. She was also known for her love of knitting mittens to give to the children who attended the Streator Headstart program.
