Linda Lou Turpen

Linda Lou Turpen, 79 of Streator passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Streator.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the Knight of Columbus, Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator.

Linda was born August 31, 1946 in Streator, a daughter of Edward and Faye (Allen) Cox. She married Jeffrey Turpen and together they have spent 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff of Streator; two daughters, Debbie Mascote of Oklahoma City, OK and Lisa VanWell of Sioux Falls, SD; a son, Brian Persinger of Streator; 13 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Cindy Mascote of Streator; 7 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Faye Cox; a son, Michael Persinger; a sister, Paula Cox; two brothers, Craig Cox and Alan Cox; and her former husband, Leroy Persinger.

Linda loved her cats, flowers, and sitting outside.
