Linda D. Hagi

Linda D. Hagi, 81 of Ransom passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 at her residence.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday March 26, 2022 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.  Pastor Andrew King will officiate.  Burial will be in Allen Twp Cemetery, Ransom.  Pallbearers will be her sons, Jamey, Scott and Kiley, and grandsons, Zach, Dalton, Kates, Benjamin and Karcin.

Linda was born April 1, 1940 in Streator, a daughter of Clyde V. and Lois E. (Chalfant) Kates.  She married Robert “Bob” Hagi on September 23, 1959.  He preceded her in death on November 13, 2017.

Surviving are her children, Roberta “Bobbie” Keesee of Ransom, Jamey (Kim) Hagi of Ransom, Scott (Amy) Hagi of Streator and Kiley (Jody) Hagi of Ottawa; 10 grandchildren, Misti (Joe) Cave, Ashli (Joe) Gilles, Zachary (Hannah) Keesee, Abbey Hagi, Dalton Hagi, Benjamin Hagi, Holly Hagi, Kates Hagi, Kerrigan Hagi, and Karcin Hagi; and 5 great grandchildren and a great grandson to be born on May 26^th.  Also surviving is Linda’s best friend Judy Coughlin of Ransom and her beloved cat, “LuLu”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; and two brothers, Roger and Terry Kates.

Linda was a graduate of Streator High School and was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Ransom United Methodist Church.

In her early years she enjoyed Bingo and traveling.  She was very passionate about cooking and treasured time with family at Sunday Meals.  She enjoyed attending her grandchildren sporting events.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
