Leonard "Chubby" Mance

Leonard F. “Chubby” Mance, 87 of Streator passed away October 18, 2023 at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Streator.

Leonard was born August 13, 1936 in Chicago, a son of Frank and Margaret (Petruska) Mance. 

He is survived by a daughter, Patti (Tony) Ferguson of Morris; a son, Joe Mance; three grandchildren, Lindsay Thomas, and Garrett and Tabor Aubry; and two great grandchildren, Grayson and Hudson Thomas.  Also surviving is a brother, Kenneth “Gee” Mance of Streator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tommy Mance; and two brothers, Lester “Moe” Mance and Frank “Hank” Mance.

Leonard was an Owner Operator and volunteered at the Streatorland Community Food Pantry.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his dogs and sheep.  He also enjoyed going to Burger King to have coffee with his friends.

Following Leonard’s wishes, his body will be donated to science and there will be no services.   Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator is assisting the family with arrangements.
