Lenora Hansen

Lenora Ruth Hansen, 95, of Streator passed away at 1:41 AM Wednesday (August 30, 2017) at Heritage Health in Streator.

A visitation will be held from 9-11 AM Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the church.  Rev. William Callister will officiate.

Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Streator.

The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born September 6, 1921 in Secor, Illinois to Peter & Josephine (Bally) Donze.  She married William Hansen on December 4, 1965 in Streator at St. Pauls Lutheran Church.  He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter Judy (Clarence) Ferguson of Streator; grandchildren:  Kinda (Jeff) Catuara of Winfield and Kevin (Jen Sinclair) Ferguson of Saline, Michigan 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; a brother, Jim Donze of Cornell; sisters, Roberta Petersen of Eureka, Jean Moritz of Streator and Dorothy Bradley of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Josie Donze; and two brothers:  Donald and Dean Donze.

She graduated from Pontiac High School and then worked at Owen’s Illinois Glass for 36 ½ years until retirement in 1985.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was in a Women’s Bowling League and was inducted into the Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame.  She also played softball in her younger years.
