CHAMPAIGN — Lawrence A. Beall, 68, of Champaign, passed away at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis.
A celebration of life visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at Hagi Funeral Home in Streator.
Larry was born March 4, 1944, in Streator the son of Thelma and Lawrence Beall.
He is survived by his three children, Brad (Heather) Beall, of Cordova, Ill., Rebecca (Chris) Maupin, of Charlotte, N.C., and Bryan (Monica) Beall, of Chicago; four grandchildren; and his two brothers, Leslie Beall, of Aurora, and Gary (Judy) Beall, of Deer Creek, Ill.
He was raised in Long Point and graduated from Woodland High School in 1962. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in agriculture economics and a master's degree in education in 1968.
Larry had careers in nursing home administration, financial planning and teaching. His interests included traveling, gardening and running. He visited 46 states and 20 countries and completed 10 marathons. He was an avid U of I sports fan.
