Larry Thomas “LT” Lundy, 81, of Streator formerly of Grand Ridge, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at his home in Streator.
A rosary will be recited at 8:45 AM Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator with visitation to follow from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator, with Monsignor Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.
Larry was born April 16, 1944 in Sandwich, a son of Thomas and Esther (Grunstad) Lundy. He married Mary Beth Antolik on July 7, 1992 in Sitka, Alaska.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth; children, Jeff Lundy, Cory (Heidi) Lundy and Lynnette (Joseph) May, all of Ottawa and John (Emily) Deats and Chris Deats, both of Streator; 9 grandchildren, Curt A. Close Jr., Ashely May, Jennifer (Andrew) England, Kylee Lundy, Tyler Lundy, Ben Lundy, Gabby Lundy, Grace Lundy and Nolan Deats; and 4 great grandchildren, Bentlee, Huxley, Rain and Amelia. Also surviving are three sisters, Lois Bates and Dorothy Wakeman, both of Streator, and Joyce Lundy of LaSalle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Howard and Ralph Lundy.
Larry was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Streator.
He worked at Owens Illinois in Streator for 40 years and after he retired from Owens, he drove a truck for Vactor. Larry always enjoyed working on the family farm and spending his spare time at the Cabin in Lacon.
He had been a member of the Grand Ridge Jaycees, the Grand Ridge Fire Department and the Streator Moose Lodge.
Larry loved his family immensely.
