Kevin Wonders

Kevin W. Wonders, 43, of Streator passed away suddenly at 6:25 AM Thursday (December 14, 2017) at O.S.F. Center for Health in Streator.

A visitation will be held from 1-4 PM Sunday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.  Rev. Scott Fulkerson will officiate.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

He was born December 19, 1973 in Streator to Edward & Cynthia (Coley) Wonders.  He married the former Jamie Hawkins on June 16, 2007 in Streator.  She survives.

He is also survived by a son, Zachary Wonders of Streator; a daughter:  Carrie Reese of Streator; his father and stepmother, Edward (Mary Kay) Wonders of Stanford; a grandson, Xaidan Treest of Streator; a sister, Holly (Matthew) Myers of Stanford and his father-in-law, Matthew (Rose) Hawkins of Streator.

He was preceded in death by his mother Cynthia Wonders and his mother-in-law:  Regina “Reggie” Hockett.

He graduated from Streator Township High School.  He was employed at American Builders in ElPaso and had also formerly worked at Catepillar.  He was a first responder at work.

He loved the bands KISS and Slayer and his favorite movie was Jaws.  He was a loving dad and husband and loved spending time with his family.
