Kevin E. Vidergar

Kevin E. Vidergar, 70 of Streator passed away Monday, March 9, 2026 at his home surrounded by family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Church of the Nazarene in Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator.

Kevin was born November 5, 1955 in Oglesby, a son of Rudolph E. and Dorothy R. Cox.

He is survived by his fiancé, Salvacion Tertocha of Streator; two sons, Jeremy Vidergar of Kangley and Jesse Vidergar of Streator; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Christine Melrose Vidergar on January 1, 2013.

Kevin worked at Caterpillar in Pontiac for 35 years, retiring in 2015.

He was a hard worker and a loving, patient person. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with Salvacion. He was a hobbyist and enjoyed fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting. After retirement, Kevin took up woodworking.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
