STREATOR- Kathleen H.”Toots” Wolfanger 93 of Ransom died Sunday morning (Oct. 7, 2012) at Heritage Health, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Patrick’s Church, Ransom with Monsignor J. Brian Rejsek, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, and additional visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Ransom.
Mrs. Wolfanger was born Mar. 6, 1919 in Ransom the daughter of William and Myrtle (McKinney) Wright. She married Walter Wolfanger Nov. 14, 1938 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1981.
Mrs. Wolfanger had been employed at G.C. Murphy Co. Streator. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and the Altar and Rosary Society of her church as well as the American Legion Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors of America. She attended Ransom grade school and was a graduate of Ransom High School, class of 1937.
She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte (John) Blair, Ransom and Elaine Goodman, Streator, one son, Jeffrey Wolfanger, Hood River OR, four grandchildren, Sherri (Jack) Stevens, Michelle (Bob) Jakupcak, Scott (Colleen) Blair and Angie (Jeff) Kusnerick, five great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Sandra Barger, four grandsons, Seth, Mark and Sean Blair and Anthony Blanton, two sisters, Mary Ewing and June Gall, four brothers, Edwin, James, William and Dale Wright.
Pallbearers will be Bob Jakupcak, Jeff Kusnerick, Joe Ewing, Jack Stevens, Scott Blair and Marty Jess.
