Judith "Judy" Goodman

Judith “Judy” N. Goodman, 77, of Streator passed away at 6:45 AM Wednesday (November 20, 2019) at O.S.F. St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

There will be no services.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on March 13, 1942 in Chicago to Nowland & Laverne (Wilczynski) Smith.  She married Richard Bruce Goodman on October 28, 1985.  He survives.

She is also survived by children:  Judith Joy Salisbury of Pontiac, Bryan K. (Janis) Durham Sr. of LaPorte, IN, Wayne R. Durham of Streator and Suzanne L. Kos of St. Charles; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and siblings:  Linda Kaufman of Blue Springs, MO and Lori (Mark) Irving of Frankfort.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Marc B. “Magic” Goodman and siblings:  Suzanne Wiedder, William Smith, Deborah McCabb and Robert Dean Smith.

She was a bartender for many years at Shab’s, Foremost Liquors and Pitsticks and been a Candy Striper, a waitress in Michigan City and taking care of her grandchildren.

Judy loved to cook, sharing photos with her family and grandchildren and loved all family functions and get togethers.

Memorials may be directed to 4th Floor of O.S.F. St. Elizabeth Medical Center or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
