John Darm

John W. Darm, 70, of Streator passed away at 9:25 AM Wednesday (October 26, 2015) at his residence.

Private graveside services will be held at the Allen Township Cemetery in Ransom.  Rev. Mary McQuilkin of the Ransom United Methodist Church will officiate.

The Hagi Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born November 25, 1945 in Streator to Willis & Nettie (Sheffield) Darm.  He married the former Lynda Ondrey on June 5, 1965 at St. Stephen’s Church.  She survives.

He is also survived by two daughters:  Susan (Dan) Eplin of Streator and Julie (John) Cach of Cedar Rapids, IA; 8 grandchildren:  Shannon Eirhart, Ashley Cach, Stefan Eplin, Tyler Eplin, Lindsey Cach, Joseph Cach, Maghie Cach and Madison Eplin; 7 great grandchildren and one brother, Gary (Sadie) Darm of Streator.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glen “Zeke” Darm.

He graduated from Streator Township High School and retired from U.S. Foods after 35 years of service.

He was a member of Teamsters Local 722 and the Lazy Acres Sportsman Club.

He enjoyed camping.
