Joanne Beavers

Joanne M. Beavers, 74 of Streator, passed away Wednesday morning (March 2, 2016) at her residence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Friday, March 11, 2016 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church, Streator, with Msgr. Philip Halfacre officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Streator.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Hagi Funeral Home and again from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Joanne was born October 10, 1941 in Streator, the daughter of Thomas and Dorothy Cox Crawford.  She married John Beavers on June 3, 1961 in Streator.  He survives along with their children, Julie (Brian) Jasper of Oreana, Steve (Jean) Beavers of Rhinelander, WI and Michael (Laura) Beavers of Danvers; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Reffett and Kayla Jasper, Bryce, Emma, Lucas and Cynthia Beavers, and Savanah and Sidney Beavers; and 2 great grandchildren, Joelen Blair and Morgan Bond.
Also surviving are two brothers, Gene (Carol) Crawford of Streator and Gary (Barb) Crawford of Libertyville; and a sister-in-law, Carol Crawford of Streator.
She was preceded in death by parents and a brother, Thomas Crawford.
Joanne was a member of the former St. Anthony’s Church, now St. Michael the Archangel Parish.  She was a Postal Rural Mail Carrier for over 17 years.
