Janice I. Callahan

Janice I. (Lundberg) Callahan, 68 of Streator passed away Tuesday December 14, 2021 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, March 5, 2022 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jan was born May 26, 1953 in Chicago, IL a daughter of Philip R. and Betty J. (Kupisch) Lundberg. On July 28, 1990, Jan married the love of her life, Kevin Callahan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Betty; her husband, Kevin; and her brothers, John and Raymond.

Jan grew up in Maywood, IL where she enjoyed summers spent in the family swimming pool and time with her church youth group. After leaving Maywood, she attended Nyack College where she studied Music Education and Voice. Jan was an exceptional singer and truly enjoyed sharing her gift. She had an wonderful sense of humor and a boisterous laugh that would make you laugh even if you weren’t in on the joke.

Jan was a friend to many and deeply treasured the long-term relationships she had established. She loved her church, her family’s many pets (especially her dog, Sadie Tip), and her family. Jan will be deeply missed.
