Isabel Lochbaum

STREATOR-  Isabel S. Lochbaum 93 of Streator went to be with her son, Bill and God the Father, Saturday morning (Dec. 6, 2014) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Dr. Paul Kissling and Rev. Terry Davis, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Mt. Auburn IL.
Mrs. Lochbaum was born Feb. 11, 1921 in rural Tower Hill, IL the daughter of Carroll and Nora Mae (Syfert) Smith. She married Walter Lochbaum. He survives.
Isabel was a member of the Ancona Church of Christ for 62 years, a graduate of Tower Hill High School, and received her Bachelors of Education degree from Illinois State University. She taught in the elementary school at Mt. Auburn IL and was a substitute teacher in the Special Education Department at Streator High School. She was an active member and past president of; Athene Study Club, P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter CM, Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star; Past President of: Streator Unlimited Board, Streator Women’s Club, Streator Garden Club, Beulah Land Christian Home Auxiliary and Evening Missionary. She was also a classroom teacher of the Sunday school at the Ancona Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years Walter, and Church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son in infancy and a son Bill
Pallbearers will be family friends.
Memorials may be made to the Ancona Church of Christ or Cardiac Rehab of Friends of St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.
