Helen Robertson

Helen Robertson, 98 of Streator passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Heritage Health in Streator.
A memorial service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Rev. Spencer Lawrence officiating.  Burial of ashes will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator following the service.  Visitation will be for an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Streatorland Food Pantry.
Helen was born February 7, 1917 in Streator, the daughter of Thomas C. and Adah Whitfield Robertson.  She attended the Streator grade schools and was a graduate of Streator High School.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Montgomery Wards and Pennsylvania Rubber Company both in Chicago and for the Robertson Brothers Coal and Building Materials and Twin Creeks Golf Course both in Streator.  She was a former member of the Twin Creeks and Anderson Fields Golf Courses.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Robertson of Streator; nieces, Doris Uratchko of Streator, Gail McClernan of Streator, Norma Nevin of Grand Ridge, Ruth Ann Robertson of Streator, Sandra (John) Defenbaugh of Cornell, June (John) Negray of Streator and Rebecca Robertson of Streator; nephews, Max (Vanessa) Robertson of Lakeland, FL, Tad Robertson of Streator, James Robertson of Virginia, and Guy (Mary) Robertson of Morris; and a special friend, Mavis Bruner of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack, Russel, Donald, Gordon, Sidney and Lester; sisters, Dorothy Harbeck and an infant sister;  nieces, Vernabelle Osterdock, Kay Thompson and Wanda Robertson; nephews, Jack Robertson, Thomas Robertson, John Harbeck, Neil Robertson, Jerry Robertson, Paul Robertson and Jeffrey Robertson.
Helen was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church.
