Grace Teach

STREATOR-  Grace T. Teach 84 of Streator died Sunday morning (Jan. 18, 2015) at her home.
Funeral services will at Noon Thursday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, with her daughter, Rev. Mary Jane Reed and Rev. Bill Niebuhr, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-Noon Thursday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Spring Valley.
Mrs. Teach was born May 26, 1930 in Dodgeville WI, the daughter of Bernard and Mary Ann (Godfrey) Tyrer. She married Robert Teach Aug. 8, 1959 in DePue. He preceded her in death Feb. 4, 2011.
Grace had been the co-owner of Meyers Music Studio and Teach-Petersen Music Studio, both of Streator and was a well-known organist and music teacher in the Streator area. She also played at a number of churches and for weddings and funerals. She attended DePue grade school and was a graduate of DePue High School, class of 1948. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and an avid bingo player.
She is survived by three daughters, Rev. Mary Jane (David) Reed, Pell City AL, Kathryn Ann (Tim) Myers, Peru, Alicia Gay, Pell City AL, five grandchildren, Nichole, Andrew, Tyler and James Reed and Katelyn Myers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother William Tyrer.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
