Genevieve Haynes

Genevieve Haynes, 84, of Streator, passed away Saturday August 6, 2016, 5:45 am at her home in Streator.
Gen was born April 3, 1932 in Streator, IL to Ellis and Alma (Mitchell) Hedrick. She married James Haynes in 1951. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Tommie (Tricia) Haynes of Tonica, Jimmy Lee (Angela) Haynes of Hamburg, Arkansas, Christy (Sean) Longnecker, of Arkansas and Tammie Biskie, of Leonore, a daughter-in-law, Debbie Haynes, of Arkansas, eight great grandchildren, Paige Haynes, Lakin Haynes, Shea Longnecker, Dalton Haynes, Cole Haynes, Jaye Longnecker, Luke Longnecker, Tyler Biskie and one great-great granddaughter, Rosie Storage, two sisters, Avis (Jim) Harchrick, of Streator, and Nita Hedrick, of Oregon, one  brother, Howard (Sherry) Hedrick, of Streator, a sister-in-law, Faye Hedrick, of Wisconsin. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, two sons, Tommie and Jimmy Haynes, brothers, Virl Hedrick, Glen Hedrick, Larry Hedrick, sisters, Inez Heusel, Carol Thomas and Wilma Hedrick, in infancy, preceded her in death.
Gen worked for 31 years at Owens of Illinois, Streator, retiring in 1987. Gen loved to bowl, bowling in several ledges and to travel. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 10, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Hagi Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 am. Private burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to IVAR or to the charity of the Donors Choice.
